Whenever Nike decides to continue the tradition involving the “What The” mash up color ways, all hell is sure to break loose. We’ve seen the Nike SB Dunk in 2007 make history and since then, the concept of mixing multiple color ways seen on a silhouette has been explored quite a few times.

Fast forward past the basketball mash ups of the What The LeBron 9, What The MVP LeBron 10, What The Kobe 8, WTK 9, and the What The KD5. A freshly released What The KD 6 that has supposedly been produced in much larger numbers than previous releases has dropped over the weekend at a retail price of $150.

The Nike KD6 “What The” has been floating around since last month with early release pairs selling for as high as $1,000. Take a look below at the data compiled through the ShoeFax app available on Apple and Android.

The “What The KD” has gained a lot of hype due to the name as well as the successful blend of a whopping 35 graphics and colors from all the past colorways. The hype was enough for the shoe to sell out insanely fast once it dropped but the value plummeted halfway before it even released and then even further as seen in the graph below. Talk about buyer’s remorse to anyone who flexed early as Pre-Release Prices Flop Immensely.
