Adrenaline GTS 11 Highlights

According to Brooks, they use their novel DNA technology incorporated with BioMoGo to design their running shoes. This technology uses cushioning material that enables runners to easily disperse impact on every foot strike while at the same time giving comfort and foot protection as the running pace increases.

The BioMoGo technology apparently is the first one of its kind and incorporates material that is biodegradable. A five-year study found that BioMoGo degrades 50 times faster than the standard midsole in anaerobic conditions, and will save 29.9 million pounds of landfill waste in roughly 20 to 25 years.

Brooks running shoes, according to the makers is to specifically offer support to the feet when running and reduce instances of injury. The design of the shoe, from the upper to the mid sole and material used attest to that. Let’s look at the main shoe components; the mid-sole, out sole and upper.

According to Brooks, the mid sole is made with the Brooks DNA cushion technology. It is lined with a full length BioMoGo with Progressive Diagonal Rollbar (PDRB). PDRB is a mechanical engineered technology used to design the sole to match the foot movement when running - in biological terms referred to as pronation. Other features are the DRB and the universal platform for overall foot support

The upper sole is lined with sockliner made out of materials that allow the foot as well as the shoe to breathe thus repelling bad odor caused by sweat. It is inlaid with a saddle to support the arch of the foot when running. The mesh and lining is made of moisture absorbing materials and synthetic overlay materials.

The Outsole is made with a brown rubber forefoot with an inbuilt stable Forefoot Pod Construction for that added comfort. The weight of the shoe is 9.4 oz. It may not be designed for the fast track runner.
The outstanding feature however is that of BioMoGo technology that enables natural biodegradation of the shoe 50times more than any other running shoe. Is It Really Worth the Money?
