With the release of the Air Jordan 5LAB3 “Black” coming up, the anticipation grows more and more. As we take a look at the pre-release sales for the upcoming release, we also took the time to pull up the numbers for it’s predecessor; the Air Jordan 5LAB3 “Silver”. Let’s take a look at how each sneaker compares, and find out which sneaker was more successful before the release.
We took a look at how each sneaker did about a week before its actual release date. In the beginning, the 5LAB3 “Black” is clocked in at a total of $16,808 sales versus it’s counterpart which only sold roughly $12,569. Although the 5LAB3 “Silver” had about 102 more pairs offered on eBay and Kixify than the Black rendition, the Black pair sold 12 more pairs shooting it’s Sell-Through rate up to 52.05%. Even though the Black rendition made more money than the Silver pair, they’re both still pretty even at this point when it comes to Average Price per pair.
A higher sell through rate shows that there is more demand for the Air Jordan 5LAB3 Black version.
Let’s take a look at the final results. After a close analysis of both sneaker’s sales, because of the low number of offered pairs of the Black 5LAB3, the Silver pair didn’t fall too far behind. If the number of offered pairs for the Black rendition was higher, because of its high Sell-Through percentage, the sneaker would have dominated the pre-release. With all that said, both sneakers come in at an almost-tie with the Air Jordan 5LAB3 “Black” selling at an average pre-sale price of $316.90 while the Silver pair falls not too far behind at $314.22. Stay tuned every week for more data analysis of your favorite sneakers!
